Accountant:

Architect (2-5 yrs of experience):

Iskalo Development is currently seeking an individual with 2-5 years of experience in the architectural profession to join its Architectural Group. Qualified individuals should have at least a four year degree in architectural education (Masters of Architecture degree preferable), and be able to successfully contribute within the full range of project phases, with emphasis on the Design Development, Construction Document and Services During Construction phases. Technical support skills to include, space planning, constructability/drafting, building codes, rendering, with graphic design skills a plus. Applicant should have the experience and interpersonal skills necessary to interact with local authorities and agencies, outside consultants, as well as our in-house Development, Construction Management, Leasing and Property Management groups. Competence with the latest version of AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketch-up are important, with experience in Revit beneficial. Applicant must be detail oriented and possess the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Boutique Hotel General Manager and Director of Sales Positions:

Iskalo Development is seeking two highly qualified and polished individuals to serve as the General Manager and Director of Sales respectively for a new, fresh and exciting, 93 room independent boutique, four-star hotel in Amherst, NY, scheduled to open next summer.  The hotel will be located alongside a full-service restaurant and recently opened Hyatt Place Hotel.  The General Manager will work closely with the ownership team in the completion of the hotel including development of the programming and standard operating procedures to enable the operation of the hotel to consistently deliver a first class guest experience.  Candidates should have at least 10 years’ experience as a hotel general manager that includes management of upscale and/or independent hotels as well as experience in directing pre-opening activities.  The Director of Sales will be responsible to build the hotel sales team and lead the sales and marketing activities for the hotel. Construction Site Superintendent:

Iskalo Development is seeking an experienced, energetic, motivated professional to work full time in the field as Construction Site Superintendent overseeing ground-up and renovation construction projects.  Commercial project experience should include Class A office, retail, hotel, warehouse, and light industrial facilities as well as tenant interiors.  The successful candidate will be required to work in harmony with other Iskalo Development project team members and ownership during preconstruction and construction phases of work.  Candidates should have a minimum of 7 to 10 years of related field experience and must be able to demonstrate a strong track record with respect to job site safety, quality control, scheduling, cost control and customer service.  Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations, experience with computers, and prior work experience with a real estate development company is a plus.  Send resume and salary history via email in confidence to hr@iskalo.com.  Iskalo Development Corp. is an equal opportunity employer.

Human Resource Manager:

Hyatt Place Sales Manager:

Junior Architect / Junior Project Manager:

Iskalo Development Corp. is seeking an experienced Junior Architect / Junior Project Manager to work full time in the Construction Department. The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Superintendent and Project Manager on assigned ground-up and renovation building projects for the purpose of ensuring that building quality expectations are achieved and that corporate policy, procedures and standards are met. Among other job related duties, the Junior Architect / Junior Project Manager will be expected to maintain a thorough understanding of contract documents and subcontracts on assigned projects, to analyze and resolve field construction issues, to handle RFIs and maintain the RFI log, manage shop drawings including distribution to appropriate parties, and to manage various project documents & communications including the job submittal log, job files, as-built documents, Daily Job Reports, and change order requests. Qualified candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Technology, Architecture or Engineering as well as have a minimum of 7 – 10 years of related commercial construction experience.  Candidates should also possess strong written and verbal communications skills, be proficient using Microsoft Excel, Word and Project, and shall manage time effectively. Iskalo Development Corp. is seeking a motivated individual for the role of Skilled Tradesmen/Maintenance Technician within the Property Management Department. Tasks to be performed involve electrical/plumbing/roofing repairs & general building maintenance.   Must have a working knowledge of most hand tools, be dependable, possess a valid driver’s license and be able to work in a team environment. The position requires one to work throughout our portfolio of commercial and retail properties so the applicant must have strong customer relation skills and present a professional, positive and helpful attitude.  OSHA 10 or 30 hour construction certificate is a plus.
